Review
Breville juicers are known as the “Lexus of juicers”. They are incredibly powerful with 600-900 watt, ¾ - 1 horsepower motors. In order to more aptly compare how powerful this motor is, the Jack LaLanne Power Juicers have 400 watt motors and only one speed. These juicers offer variable 5-speed juicing from 6,500 RPM to 14,500 RPM. Smart chip technology is built in for heavy load power increase. Along with high power capability, Breville juicers are capable of producing juice at incredible speeds. It takes a mere 5 seconds for an 8 oz. glass of juice to be extracted.Breville models feature stainless steel micromesh filters and cutting blades. The only negative comment made about these machines is that the mesh is fine and occasionally will plug.
However, the fine mesh is what ensures that the juice is free of lumps. It is suggested that a steady supply of vegetables or fruit will alleviate plugging of the mesh.
Stainless steel cutting blades are known to be strong and maintain a sharp edge for many uses. Stainless steel does not rust so there is no possibility of metal contamination in the juice.
The feed tube is a large 3” in diameter. This large size makes it possible to push whole vegetables and fruit into the juicer. This eliminates the need to core, peel or chop the fruits or vegetables. Not only a time saving feature, but peelings, seeds and pits often contain valuable fiber and vitamins so they are a nutritious addition to your juice.
All parts of Breville juicers are dishwasher safe with the exception of the motor housing. A cleaning brush is included for the micromesh filter making removal of all pulp very simple.
Backlit LED control panels make reading settings a snap with a Breville juicer.
All Brevile juicers come with an accessory kit which contains a juice jug with defrother, mesh filter cleaning brush and detachable spout for juicing directly into glasses.
Anyone who likes juice will be pleased to own any of the models from the Breville range. These powerhouse machines range in price from $150.00 to $250.00. With a one year limited warranty, a Breville juicer is sure to make any juice lover healthier and happier.
