Jack La lanne Power Juicer Express

I started juicing years ago for health reasons. I was tired of processed foods and sugary drinks and after doing a lot of research, discovered that juicing fruits and vegetables was an ideal way to get nutrients without having to actually consume pounds and pounds of vegetables and fruits.

The Jack La lanne Power Juicer Express is my first and only juicer

Unlike a lot of juicers, the Jack La Lanne juicer comes out of the box ready to go, having been fully pre-assembled.

Operating the juicer is easy and intuitive. All that you need to do is cut your food into pieces that will fit into the feed tube, turn on the machine, and push the food down with the safety guard.

Vegetables and fruits are sent into the machine, where a spinning basket like blade pulverizes them into fresh and nutritious juice. The juice flows out of a spout at the bottom where you can collect it in a glass or bowl.

I have seen friends juicers and this one is by far the quietest one, which is surprising considering its power. Many juicers struggle to process hard vegetables like sweet potatoes or winter squashes, but the Jack La Lanne, juicer makes easy work of them. I do sometimes get a little envious of others juicers large feed tubes as the Jack La Lanne one is a little small.

Also, the juicer collects pulp which you can use for things like carrot cakes if you are juicing carrots, or for your composting. Clean up is one drawback of the juicer. You have to take the machine apart and clean all the parts individually.

I always clean it immediately after use - so much easier that way!

The longer you let the juicer sit with pulp and juice all over it, the tougher it is to clean because of the way the natural sugars coat everything, making them sticky. The only other reservation that I have about the juicer is that it can be expensive to juice. This is not the fault of the machine though.

All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends who are looking to reap the benefits of juicing.
