Review

One of the best juicers available, the Omega 1000 Juicer is a workhorse juicer that will provide years of healthy, nutritious juices. It is the ultimate in reliability and efficiency. The only complaint about this machine is that the pulp basket is somewhat challenging to clean. In response, Omega offers non-bleached, natural fiber paper basket filters; the ease of cleanup is much improved.

The 1/3 horsepower GE induction motor is extremely reliable and renowned for their quiet operation and durability. No brushes and few moving parts results in little part wear and long life for the motor.

A box of 200 non-bleached, natural fiber paper filters is included with purchase of the Omega 1000. These filters serve two purposes; filtering all pulp from juices for those who prefer pulp free juice and making clean up of the filter basket much easier. Filters are available online or at retailers such as kitchen specialty stores at quite reasonable prices.

Any stainless steel part is made of heavy gauged Surgical Stainless Steel that has been polished to a shine for an attractive, easy to clean surface.

If you have ever driven a vehicle whose tires were out of balance you know how it causes extreme vibration as you drive down the road. The same situation occurs with the centrifugal action of the basket of the juicer. In order to minimize vibration all baskets on Omega 1000 juicers are hand balanced. The baskets are easy to remove for cleaning or changing paper filters.

The cutting blade was designed to “float” which is another factor in the lack of vibration of this juicer. A plastic ring with little feet on the underside rims the outer edge of the blade. As fruit or vegetables are pushed onto the blade, this floating action aids the motor to maintain constant RPMs.

The Spring Clutch Nut is the knob that holds the blade in place and should be only finger tightened to allow the “floating” action to be efficient.

A dozen variable height rubber feet under the juicer keep the juicer from traveling across the counter. These soft rubber feet adhere without marking the surface the juicer is standing on.

Cantilevered latch arms allow for ease in disassembling and reassembling the juicer even if you have arthritic or weak hands.

This workhorse will provide you with years of health benefits and delectable treats. Still one of the best juicers available, the Omega 1000 juicer is a reliable, durable juicer with a 10 year warranty and an affordable price tag.
